Dr. Mark D. Scheiderich graduated cum laude from Auburn University in 1996 where he earned his bachelors degree in biomedical sciences. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, graduating in 2000 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
After graduation, Dr. Scheiderich proudly served in the US Army. He was assigned to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he earned his Advanced Education in General Dentistry degree, and then to Grafenwoehr Germany, as the officer in charge of a 10-chair dental clinic responsible for the well being of over 3,000 soldiers and family members. Dr. Scheiderich was honored with a Meritorious Service Medal at the end of his military career.
Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Scheiderich honed his skills as an associate with a thriving dental practice. When the opportunity arose, Dr. Scheiderich acquired an established, 25-year-old practice in 2006 and now dedicates himself to serving his neighbors in Fletcher and surrounding areas.
Dr. Scheiderich is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and his local branch of the renowned Seattle Study Club.
He and his wife Courtney are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters.
Lori joined Dr. Scheiderich's practice as the office manager in September, 2006. She brings to the team extensive corporate experience in administration and customer service, which you will see reflected in her pleasant, efficient demeanor and attention to detail.
Misty attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Misty is certified in dental radiology and coronal polishing. Misty assists Lori at the front desk and helps the dentist chairside.
Following an early career in financial services, Karen enrolled at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and completed her degree in applied science in dental hygiene. Now, 10 years later, Karen loves her job and regularly attends continuing education courses to strengthen her education and enhance her clinical skills.
Michelle has served as our dental hygienist for 10 years. She earned a degree in applied sciences in dental hygiene from Asheville Community College where she graduated Phi Theta Kappa. Michelle is passionate about dentistry, and she thrives on improving her patients' health and well being.
Amber followed in family footsteps by becoming a dental assistant, When her mother retired after 20 years of service in our office, Amber took over her position. She prepared for her career while she was still at Asheville High School, participating in the Dual Enrollment Program offered by Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College, and continued her education at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Amber is certified in dental radiography and coronal polishing and belongs to the American Dental Assisting Association.
